I am a Senior Lecturer in Counselling at the University of Canberra, where my work brings together research, counselling education, and professional practice.

My research interests include grief and bereavement, climate distress, end-of-life care, and counselling education. I am particularly interested in how grief theories can help us understand and respond to the emotional impacts of a changing world.

I have extensive experience teaching and supervising emerging counsellors in Australia and internationally. My approach emphasises critical thinking, reflective practice and the ability to work thoughtfully with complexity and uncertainty.

I also deliver webinars, workshops, and professional development for counsellors, supervisors, healthcare professionals and organisations on grief and loss, climate distress, end-of-life care, and clinical supervision.

Alongside my academic work, I continue to enjoy a small counselling and clinical supervision practice.

As an ACA Level 4 Clinical Counsellor and Registered Supervisor, I work with people navigating grief, loss, life transitions, climate distress and other challenging experiences. My approach is integrative and relational, with an emphasis on understanding each person and what matters to them.
